Happy 4th of July! It is our country’s 239th Independence Day. I would like to take just a few moments to reflect on our great country. Sure, there are all kinds of problems–from civil rights issues to gun control to financial instability to political infighting (and the list goes on)–all over our local and national news sources.
But at the end of the day, we live in America. We live in a country where we have FREEDOM! And we wouldn’t have known this wonderful thing called freedom if it weren’t for those in our military. The men and women in our armed forces are the true heroes. Their families give the ultimate sacrifice in being supportive of their husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sisters, and brothers while they are deployed, on active duty, in the reserves, retired, or suffering from injuries on the battlefield whether visible or not.
